RUNENWALD Schildbann is part of our RUNENWALD series – a collection of characterful Ritual Meads combining a high honey content with herbs, plants and unusual flavours. Their rich texture recalls our single-flower meads, while their spicy and dry character takes the RUNENWALD range in a distinctly bolder direction.

Schildbann combines dark, robust honey with a selected herbal blend and bitter hop extract. The hops provide a pronounced counterpoint to the natural honey sweetness, adding a distinctive bitterness alongside spicy herbal notes and a full-bodied texture.

Within the RUNENWALD series, Schildbann is the most uncompromising of the three Ritual Meads: bitter, powerful and straightforward. A mead with a warrior spirit, inspired by ancient rites, Nordic mythology and the harsher side of the forest.
